Taste wine and culinary delights for a good cause

Join us for the 3rd Annual Taste of Success, hosted by Wegmans and presented by Aspen Dental and AXA Equitable, this Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the International Pavillion at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. All proceeds benefit Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection, our nationally recognized dropout prevention program with a 25-year track record of helping at-risk youth graduate with the skills and confidence they need to be successful in college and the workforce. 

This exclusive tasting event features hors d'oeuvres hand-selected  by Wegmans’ own Executive Chef Bob Langkammerer. Langkammerer and his team of experts will offer you a culinary experience sure to stimulate your taste buds. Featured selections will be paired with an exceptional assortment of wines and craft beers. 

Individual tickets are $50. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at any Wegmans Service Desk in the Syracuse area.

SWAV celebrates reading with Hillside youth

St. John Fisher College's Students with a Vision (SWAV) volunteered to help more than 40 Hillside Children's Center Andrews-Trahey students learn the importance of reading on Friday, March 30, 2012. SWAV members set up interactive stations and a scavenger hunt to highlight popular books and literary characters. As part of its year-long 175th anniversary celebration, Hillside Family of Agencies hosted the event which concluded Read Across America Month.
